Key Features of Magento 2 AMP Email Extension
As featured in
AMP Email plugin for Magento 2 is designed to allow merchants send dynamic interactive emails in AMP format. Each AMP email includes either a HTML or Text version of the same content to ensure that your message works on all email clients. Plumrocket have created a subset of Magento components that includes AMPHTML elements to speed up the development of your custom transactional or promotional newsletters.
Dynamic & Interactive AMP Emails
- Use built-in Google AMP Email templates for Magento 2 transactional and promotional emails or create your own from Magento backend.
- With Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) for Email, the information will always be kept up-to-date because it uses dynamic content. Every time a recipient clicks or refreshes the email, the data like price, availability, reviews, product pictures, etc, will be updated in real time.
- Users can now respond to forms and get content updated dynamically inside rich, engaging emails, making them dynamic and interactive.
Transactional & Promotional AMP Emails
- Your existing transactional and newsletter Magento 2 email templates will remain unchanged. You can enable or disable the AMP version for each supported email independently from Magento backend.
- Send yourself a test AMP email before going live, preview the AMP email example, change styles and email content from Magento backend. AMP Emails are integrated in native Magento 2 email interfaces for easier management.
- The module includes built-in AMP email templates for Magento 2 transactional emails and newsletter marketing emails (coming soon).
Compatibility with all Email Clients
- The plugin will automatically send emails in two or more alternative formats: HTML & AMP or Text & AMP. If the recipient's email service does not support AMP format just yet, it will automatically display the HTML or Text version of the same email instead.
- AMP for Email follows all Google specifications by adding a new Email MIME part with a content type of text/x-amp-html.
- For now, dynamic email content is available with Gmail.com (all free Gmail accounts, G Suite, and the Gmail app on Android and iOS), Outlook.com and Mail.ru. Other email services such as Yahoo Mail are in the process of adding AMP support to their clients this year.

The technology is still pretty new, but the extension is very stable. We haven't had any issues with it. Our store is set to launch soon and we are still testing the AMP Emails.
While the extension comes with many built-in templates of AMP emails, it would be great if Plumrocket could add even more.
