Works as intended. Does need some time for making the AMP version of your site look as sweet as my regular responsive theme. We were looking for something to help speed up our Mobile Magento2 site as we were not happy with how the slow the site loaded on mobile.
Wow...this product did the trick! We were experiencing home page load speeds of 2.3 seconds on our mobile site, with AMP it is 696ms!
AMP is not currently available for dynamic pages (Cart, Checkout, Forms) but so worth it for Home Page, Category Pages and Product Pages.

I love this extension. Super easy to install and to use. My google mobile page speed is now 90/100 instead of 45/100.

Make sure you install it from their website using their method, and not using the Magento 2 Component Manager. I had issues with the component manager, but when I did the install directly using the plumrocket files as described on their website, it worked perfectly. Thank you love this!

The plugin works like a charm after some modification. Our magento 2 template broke the plugin at some places. This was easily solved after submitting a ticket.

This is a must have theme for every Magento 2 website that would like to have awesome mobile pages. My Google speed score for the homepage, cms pages, categorie and product pages is now 90 out of 100. Before I installed the plugin it was only 58 at product and category pages so see the difference!

Development of new features for AMP extension is based on AMP project rules and technology restrictions. AMP uses a simplified form of the HTML structure. Being stripped of resource-heavy elements, therefore some features can not be released in order to keep AMP pages structure simple for instant page load. You can check here what features will be supported in the new versions of AMP:

We are doing our best to follow all the latest updates and implement this functionality in our extension. As for your request, support of Google Maps can be added only with the help of AMP iframe. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need help implementing this feature.
Unfortunately, Image change when selecting attribute in configurable products, cannot be added yet as this requires JavaScript to be used, which is restricted in Google AMP specification.
Ability to show/hide details in product page will be added in the future versions of the AMP extension.

Support for widgets and third-party personalized recommendations will be added once this feature is supported via AMP project.

This extension initially conflicted with others but the Plumrocket technical team resolved the issues within a couple of days. This product creates a quick mobile experience for the end-user, and the AMP pages were cached by Google virtually straight away.

We did have another issue trying to save category images, but this turned out to be a Magento 2 bug due to duplicate url keys. This was quickly resolved by their technical team as pay as you go support. Would recommend this product and Plumrocket.

Once a buyer clicks the cart icon in AMP mode, the extension redirects one to the Shopping Cart in responsive Magento theme, where they can proceed to checkout.

Yes, the number of items is always shown on the badge next to the shopping cart icon on both AMP and regular Magento pages. The badge appears in the header of a website, so it can be accessed from any page. Moreover, it is automatically updated when new products are added to the cart in AMP mode.

All in all, users do not need to go to the shopping cart to check the number of items added to it, as it is always displayed in the header of your site.

How to Change the Duration of Add-to-Cart Messages

After a user has added an item to the cart in the AMP mode, the add-to-cart message remains for a default time period. Please take the following steps to change the default time:
1. Open the file in the following directory:

How to Integrate Chat Into Magento AMP Pages
The AMP technology is a Google project that aims at high performance of web pages by creating fast, beautiful, and lightweight mobile pages. It is a web component framework that has got some limitations, and to be more specific, it restricts author-written JavaScripts and uses a simplified HTML structure form.

So far, the amp.dev team does not provide us with AMP components for integrating chat into AMP pages. However, the AMP extension by Plumrocket allows you to integrate chat services right from the Magento backend. There are a total of 3 options for integrating chat into Magento AMP pages while keeping them valid and lightweight:
Option 1: Use Integrated Chats in Plumrocket AMP Extension

Magento AMP Plugin is developed in accordance with Google guidelines that allow you to generate an AMP version of your website. Regardless of the limited amount of AMP components provided by the amp.dev team, the extension allows integrating a lot more functionality to your AMP pages keeping them fast and lightweight.

To be more specific, our developers have made it possible to integrate Tawk and Zendesk and Live chats with Magento AMP pages. The same as in responsive Magento theme, customers can access it by clicking on a Live Chat button at the bottom of the page. Then, a chat opens in a new window, and visitors can start chatting right from this page.

How to set up Zendesk chat on Magento AMP pages

Setting up a Zendesk chat with Magento AMP extension takes a few minutes. Please, take the following steps:
1. Go to your Magento Admin Panel -> Plumrocket tab
2. Under AMP, choose Configuration
3. Scroll down the page to the Zendesk Chat section
4. Set the Enable option to Yes
5. Enter your Zendesk Domain

Ask the support team of the chat you want to integrate whether they have a solution for AMP. Since AMP technology rolled out in 2016, and is still relevant and considered in Google ranking, chat developers may have already created some solutions for chat integration into AMP pages.

Option 3: Create Custom Chat Integration
1. Create a separate page where an opened chat will be displayed
2. Insert chat SDK or library into this page
3. If there is no chat API that allows displaying already opened chat, you need to create a loader placeholder. Then, using javascript, open the chat after its rendering and hide the placeholder.
4. On AMP pages, you need to create a custom chat button that leads users to the created page with the opened chat.

Your existing mobile/tablet responsive pages will remain. The AMP pages utilize their own theme, and this theme works separately from your mobile theme.

The AMP theme will be working for the customers that came to your website from the Google AMP search results page. In other cases, if customers come to your website directly - your regular mobile theme will be displayed.

However, with Plumrocket AMP Plugin, you can also force all mobile users to view only AMP theme if option "Force AMP on All Mobile/Tablet Devices" is enabled in module configuration.

How to Fix Magento AMP iFrame Error Due to X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN
Magento 2 AMP extension requires proper configuration for product options iFrame to work correctly. Although security settings are considered to be an essential part of its configuration, they can sometimes cause issues. In particular, Magento allows implementing the X-Frame-Options HTTP request header to enable page rendering in a more secure way. As a result, specific errors occur that we want to point out and suggest a solution.

So, if you have faced “The loading of ‘url’ in a frame is denied by ‘X-Frame-Options’ directive set to ‘SAMEORIGIN’” error in the console, check this article to discover the cause and its solution.

What is X-Frame-Options:SAMEORIGIN

X-Frame-Options is a security header for iFrame source. It is a part of the HTTP response and is passed as a response header of a web page. It helps avoid clickjacking attacks by indicating whether or not a browser should display a page inside a <FRAME> or <IFRAME> tag.

At the same time, X-Frame-Options:SAMEORIGIN is a default Magento setting. It defines that the page can only be embedded in a frame of the same origin as the page itself. Also, it allows the iFrame content to be displayed only within the current domain. Find out more about the X-Frame-Options header.

How X-Frame-Options:SAMEORIGIN Affects AMP iFrame

As stated in the official AMP documentation, amp-iframe “must not be in the same origin as the container unless they do not allow allow-same-origin in the sandbox attribute”. Since the product option AMP iFrame is loaded from a different origin (Google AMP CDN), we cannot use X-Frame-Options:SAMEORIGIN. In order to ensure that iFrame works properly, our AMP extension deletes the header only for product options iFrame.

Why Does the iFrame Denial Result in Magento AMP Error

Despite the fact that the Plumrocket AMP extension deletes the "X-Frame-Options" header for product options iFrame, some server configurations always force this header for security reasons. As a result, AMP iFrame attempts to load content from a different origin, even though only the same origin is allowed.

2 Ways to Fix iFrame Error Due to “X-Frame-Options” Directive Set to “SAMEORIGIN” in Magento AMP
1. Contact your hosting provider to disable the X-Frame-Options header. Afterward, you need to enable the X-Frame-Options header in Magento.
2. Add the exception to the server security rules to disable the header only for product options iFrame.
If you get a 404 error after all the steps taken to fix the iFrame error, make sure the “ampiframe.php” file is located in Magento 2 webroot directory. You can get the file from the following path:
