The Admin Email Notification extension for Magento 2 collects logs from the exception.log and system.log server files and displays them in a user-friendly table in the admin panel. Its key feature is flexible admin email notifications, which can be configured with different frequencies (every 30 minutes, 1 hour, or day) and for all or specific event types only (emergency, critical, notices, etc.).

Additionally, you can set up automatic log removal to keep your database clean or keep the logs indefinitely.

Logs:

• The extension allows admins to view error and system logs directly from the Magento 2 admin panel, eliminating the need to access server files manually.
• Logs are collected from both exception.log and system.log files, providing comprehensive visibility into all events impacting the store.

Email Notifications:

• Admins can enable automatic email notifications, which can be configured from the Event Management table based on severity level (emergency, critical, notices, etc.), ensuring that they stay informed of critical events as they occur.
• Admins can specify one or multiple email addresses to receive notifications, which enables team-based monitoring.
• Admins can specify the frequency with which the system will check and collect logs, with intervals of 30 minutes, 1 hour, or once a day.
• Includes an auto-cleanup feature that allows admins to set the number of days after which logs should be automatically removed from the database, keeping the log data current and the interface uncluttered.

Event Log Table:

• Logs are displayed in a structured, user-friendly Event Log table with details on the event type, log time, file name, and log message, making it easy to monitor system health.
• Each log can be viewed separately for a more detailed view or deleted from the Email Log table Filter.

Event Management Table:

• The Event Management table lists all events by their type (critical, emergency, error, alert, warning, notice, info, debug) for straightforward categorization and prioritization of issues.
• Within the Event Management table, admins can enable/disable the necessary event type to be collected into the Event Log and enable/disable email notifications for each event type.

• The following events are displayed:

  • CRITICAL: Urgent condition requiring immediate attention; may cause severe failures or halt operations.
  • EMERGENCY: System-wide emergency; the highest error level, indicating the system is unusable and needs urgent action.
  • ERROR: General error impacting functionality; resolution needed to maintain optimal performance.
  • ALERT: Condition that needs prompt action to prevent potential escalation to critical errors.
  • WARNING: Potential issue or deprecated feature; does not impact operations immediately but should be reviewed.
  • NOTICE: Highlights important, normal events for tracking purposes; does not indicate a problem.
  • INFO: Provides messages on normal system operations, aiding in understanding processes.
  • DEBUG: Detailed technical information for developers to aid in diagnosing issues during development.
