Configuring Magento 2 Data Feed Generator Extension<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this article you will learn how to properly configure the generation of the data feeds with Magento 2 Data Feed Generator Extension<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step-by-step guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to the Plumrocket<\/strong> tab in the main menu.<\/li>
  2. Select Data Feed Generator<\/strong> -> Configuration<\/strong>.<\/li>
  3. Use the Enable Extension<\/strong> option to enable or disable Magento 2 Data Feed Generator Extension.<\/li>
  4. “Serial Key”:<\/strong> enter unique serial key provided to you after the purchase. Note:<\/strong> In most cases this field will be pre-filled with serial key automatically and the green check mark will be displayed. In order to find and enter your serial key manually, please read the Serial Key Activation<\/a><\/strong> article.<\/li>
  5. Click on the Save Config<\/strong> button to save your settings.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    2. Select Manage Data Feed List<\/strong> section.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      1. Check the list of available data feeds and select one you need to edit.<\/li>
      2. Press Add New Data Feed<\/strong> button to create new data feed.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

        General Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        1. Go to General<\/strong> settings tab.<\/li>
        2. “Select Template”<\/strong> option allows you to select one of the available data feed templates or create your custom data feed from scratch using “blank document” template. Choose among available templates: “AvantLink Data Feed”, “Yipit Data Feed”, “HasOffers Data Feed”, “Post Affiliate Pro Data Feed”, “Commission Junction Data Feed”, “TradeDoubler Data Feed” etc.<\/li>
        3. “Data Feed Type”<\/strong> field allows you to select products or categories to be included into your data feed.<\/li>
        4. Enter name of the data feed or edit the existing one in the “Name”<\/strong> field.<\/li>
        5. In the “URL key”<\/strong> field specify the data feed url.<\/li>
        6. Select the store view where the data feed will be generated and used in the “Store View”<\/strong> field.<\/li>
        7. In this field specify the number of items. Leave “0” or empty, if the number of items is unlimited.<\/li>
        8. In the “Cache Life Time (seconds)”<\/strong> field you can set the cache life time for this particular Data feed. In order to disable caching for this data feed, set cache life time to “0”.<\/li>
        9. In the “Status”<\/strong> field you may enable or disable this data feed.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

                  2. Enable <\/strong>the FTP Upload. If you enable this option, the data feed will be automatically uploaded to the FTP server after each manual or scheduled data feed rebuild.<\/li>
                  3. Choose the Protocol <\/strong>(FTP or SFTP SSH).<\/li>
                  4. Specify your Host<\/strong>.<\/li>
                  5. Specify the Port<\/strong>.<\/li>
                  6. Enter your FTP\/SFTP SSH User<\/strong>.<\/li>
                  7. Specify the user Password<\/strong>.<\/li>
                  8. Enable or disable the Passive Mode<\/strong>. This option is only available for the FTP protocol. If you enable it, the data connections will be initiated by the client instead of the server, which can be useful if the client is behind a firewall. Please note that Passive Mode can only be enabled after a successful login; otherwise, the operation will fail.<\/em><\/li>
                  9. Specify the Path <\/strong>where you would like to save the Data Feed.<\/li>
                  10. Test<\/strong> if the Connection works properly.<\/li>
