In this article you will learn how to use “Banner Tracking URL” functionality in your magento email marketing. Please, follow the guide below to configure your Magento Banner Pro Extension<\/a> correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating Placeholder<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before you proceed with creating a banner – first you need to create a placeholder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Detailed description:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. In your Magento admin panel go to “Plumrocket” tab.<\/strong><\/li>
  2. Select “Manage Placeholders” section. In this tab press on the “Add New Placeholders” button.<\/strong><\/li>
  3. \n “Name”:<\/strong> specify the name of a placeholder.<\/li>
  4. \n “Status”:<\/strong> option allows to enable or disable a placeholder.<\/li>
  5. \n “Location”:<\/strong> option allows you to set the location of a placeholder. As an example we have set “Custom (For Developers)”<\/strong> location for this banner.<\/li>
  6. \n “Type”:<\/strong> select “Static”<\/strong> type for this banner.<\/li>
  7. \n “Banner sort order:”<\/strong> specify the sort order in which banners will be displayed in this placeholder: “By Priority<\/strong> or “Random”<\/strong> .<\/li>
  8. Save your placeholder by pressing on the “Save Placeholder”‘<\/strong> button.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Creating Banner<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Now you need to create a banner in order to get the tracking URL. Please follow the guide below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Important Information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Before you proceed with Magento Banner creating, please, make sure you have created a campaign<\/a> and a banner group<\/a> for this banner.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Detailed description:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. \n “Name”:<\/strong> specify the name of a banner in this field.<\/li>
    2. \n “Status”:<\/strong> option allows you to enable or disable a banner.<\/li>
    3. \n “Banner Group”:<\/strong> field shows you the banner group this banner is assigned to.<\/li>
    4. \n “Placeholder”:<\/strong> in this filed you need to select the newly created placeholder. In our case it is a “Tracking email”<\/strong> placeholder.<\/li>
    5. In the “Show Only On Product Pages”<\/strong> field you may choose whether the banner will be displayed on the product pages only.<\/li>
    6. Input the number in the “Priority”<\/strong> field. Note:<\/strong> The smaller the number – the higher is the priority. Banners with the highest priority will be displayed in banner sliders and static banners first.<\/li>
    7. \n “Destination URL”:<\/strong> enter the url where the visitor will be redirected to after clicking on the banner.<\/li>
    8. Select “Image”<\/strong> or “HTML”<\/strong> banner type in the “Banner Type”<\/strong> field. Note:<\/strong> It is not mandatory to upload an image here. You can select HTML image type and enter any text to fill in this field.<\/li>
    9. Paste HTML code in the “HTML Template”<\/strong> field.<\/li>
    10. \n “Display Restrictions”<\/strong> field allows to set restrictions for a banner by pages. Specify rules to select the pages to display the banner on.<\/li>
    11. Press “Save Banner”<\/strong> to save your settings.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
