By default, Magento 2 does not provide a built-in option to import or export product reviews. This can be a challenge for store owners who want to migrate reviews between stores, back up customer feedback, or transfer ratings to a new platform. However, the Magento 2 Advanced Reviews & Reminders Extension<\/a> makes this task easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Import Product Reviews in Magento 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To import reviews, in the Magento 2 admin panel, go to System <\/strong>-> Data Transfer <\/strong>-> Import<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step-by-step guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. In the Entity Type<\/strong>, choose the Plumrocket Advanced Reviews <\/strong>option (make sure that the Plumrocket Advanced Reviews<\/a> extension is installed)<\/strong>.<\/li>
  2. Select the Add\/Update Complex Data<\/strong> option of the Import Behavior<\/strong>.<\/li>
  3. Choose the Validation Strategy:<\/strong>
    1. Stop on Error<\/strong>: stop the import process if errors occur.<\/li>
    2. Skip error entries<\/strong>: skip the errors that occur during the import.<\/li><\/ol><\/li>
    3. Specify the Allowed Errors Count<\/strong>. Once the error limit is reached during the import process, it will be stopped.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      1. Insert the Field separator<\/strong> to define the character that separates different fields (columns) in the imported CSV file.<\/li>
      2. Specify the Multiple value separator <\/strong>to define the character that separates multiple values within a single field (cell) in the imported CSV file.<\/li>
      3. Specify the Empty attribute value constant <\/strong>to define a placeholder value that tells Magento to clear an attribute value during import.<\/li>
      4. Check the Fields enclosure<\/strong> to ensure the incorrect symbols are enclosed during the import.<\/li>
      5. Select File to Import<\/strong>.<\/li>
      6. Specify the Images File Directory <\/strong>to specify the folder where Magento should look for image files when importing the images.<\/li>
