Manually Installing GeoIP Databases<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Plumrocket IP Geolocation Lookup Magento 2 extension<\/a> supports two methods of IP Geolocation database installation: automatic and manual. In this guide, we will describe how to manually download and install IP Geolocation databases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maxmind IP Geolocation Database<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Step 1. Download Maxmind IP Geolocation Database<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

1. Create a directory on the server if it does not exist:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[MAGENTO_PATH]<\/mark>\/pub\/media\/prgeoiplookup\/data\/<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Create a free account on maxmind.com<\/a>, and follow the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step-by-step guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to the Maxmind account on maxmind.com<\/a>, then click on the account icon on the upper left side of the page, and press the My Account<\/strong> button.
    In the sidebar menu, go to the GeoIP2 \/ GeoLite2 > Download Files<\/strong>.<\/li>
  2. In the same grid, find the GeoLite2 City<\/strong> row, and click on the Download ZIP<\/strong> link there. You will download the ZIP file and get the file needed for Maxmind database installation:

    GeoLite2-City.mmdb

    Step-by-step guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Rename the downloaded file to MaxMind.mmdb<\/strong><\/li>
    2. Paste the file into the following paths: [MAGENTO_PATH]<\/mark>\/pub\/media\/prgeoiplookup\/data\/<\/em>MaxMind.mmdb<\/strong><\/li>
    3. Go to Plumrocket > IP Geolocation Lookup > Configuration > Maxmind IP Geolocation Database<\/strong> and validate the installation (Database Status field must be green and show Installed Database status)<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      To install Maxmind manually, go to the extension’s Configuration <\/strong>> Services <\/strong>> Maxmind IP Geolocation Database<\/strong> > Installation Method<\/strong>, and select Manual Installation<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      After selecting the Installation Method, click Install Database<\/strong>. In a few minutes, depending on the server capacity, the database will be installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      IpToCountry IP Geolocation Database<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      Step 1. Download IpToCountry IP Geolocation Database<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

      1. Create a directory on the server if it does not exist:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. Go to https:\/\/db-ip.com\/db\/download\/ip-to-country-lite<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. Scroll down and press the Download IP to Country Lite<\/strong> MMDB button. You will download the GZ archive and get the file needed for Maxmind database installation: dbip-country-lite-{build-date}.mmdb<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
