In this article you will learn how to update your Google Customer Reviews Extension for Magento 2<\/a>\u00a0<\/a> correctly, please follow this step-by-step guide below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can choose one of the following two methods to update the extension on your Magento 2 store:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n
1. Update via Composer<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n
2. Update via FTP<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Update Extension via Composer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In order to update your Magento 2 Google Customer Reviews extension via Composer, open the console (SSH terminal) and follow commands:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. In the terminal, switch to your Magento 2 root directory using the command:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

cd \/FULL_PATH_TO_YOUR_MAGENTO2<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n\n\n\n
where “FULL_PATH_TO_YOUR_MAGENTO2” is the path to your Magento 2 folder on your server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Update your Plumrocket extension to the latest version:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

composer update plumrocket\/google-customer-reviews --with-dependencies<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n\n\n\n
After running this command, you will be prompted to enter the username and password (skip this step if your credentials were saved during the installation).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to find your personal Username and Password to update the extension via Composer, go to your account at https:\/\/plumrocket.com<\/a> > select My Account<\/strong> in the header menu > select the My Downloads<\/strong> tab > find the required Plumrocket extension in the list > press the Install via Composer<\/strong> link. Please see the screenshot below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Copy the Username<\/strong> key from the popup window.<\/li>
  2. Copy the Password<\/strong> key from the popup window.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Update Extension via FTP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    Step 1. Download and unzip the Magento 2 Google Customer Reviews Extension’s files<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Step-by-step guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
    1. Login to your Plumrocket store account: https:\/\/plumrocket.com<\/a><\/li>
    2.  Select My Account<\/strong> in the menu (to open this page, you have to log in first).<\/li>
    3. Select My Downloads<\/strong>.<\/li>
    4. Press on the Download<\/strong> link to download the latest version of your extension.<\/li>
    5. If you need to download one of the previous versions of your extension or to check the change logs, please, click the Release Archive<\/strong> link.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      1. In the Release Archive<\/strong> section you can see the list of available versions, read the change logs and download one of the previous versions.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

        We strongly recommend that you backup all your Magento 2 files and folders before you proceed with updating extension.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
        Step 2. To upload files to the server, you may use any FTP-client<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
        We used the FileZilla FTP client to show you how to upload files to the server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Step-by-step guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
        1.  This is your client side.<\/strong> Here you will see the unpacked catalog containing Magento 2 Google Customer ReviewsExtension.<\/li>
        2.  This is your root directory on the server side.<\/strong> The files should be uploaded here.<\/li>
        3.  All the files have to be uploaded to the server.<\/strong> Select the files and press right button of your mouse.<\/li>
        4. Choose the Upload<\/strong> option for these files.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
