Here you will learn how to correctly install the Magento 2 GDPR extension<\/a> using two methods – Installation via the FTP or Composer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. First of all make sure your system meets all the requirements necessary for the correct functioning of our GDPR<\/strong> Extension for Magento 2. For more details on system requirements, please read Magento 2 system requirements<\/a>.<\/strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    You can choose one of the following two methods to install the extension on your Magento 2 store:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Installation via Composer<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n
    2. Installation via FTP<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Extension Installation via Composer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    In order to install your Magento 2 GDPR extension extension via Composer, open the console (SSH terminal) and follow the steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 1. Switch to your Magento 2 root directory in the terminal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    <\/div>
    cd \/FULL_PATH_TO_YOUR_MAGENTO2<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n\n\n\n
    where “FULL_PATH_TO_YOUR_MAGENTO2” is the path to your Magento 2 folder on your server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
    Step 2. Add the Plumrocket repository to your Composer configurations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    composer config repositories.plumrocket composer https:\/\/plumrocket.com\/repo\/<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n\n\n\n
    Step 3. Download Plumrocket extension files<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    <\/div>
    composer require plumrocket\/gdpr-metapackage<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n\n\n\n
    After running this command, you may be prompted to enter the username and password (see the How to Get Plumrocket Composer Repository Keys<\/a> user guide).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
    Step 4. Install database and static resources<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    php bin\/magento cache:flush \nphp bin\/magento setup:upgrade\nphp bin\/magento setup:di:compile\nphp bin\/magento setup:static-content:deploy<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n\n\n\n
    After running these commands, the extension should be installed successfully. Similar message should be displayed in your console as displayed below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 5. Set the serial key<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
    Step-by-step guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
    1. Navigate to your Magento 2 Admin Panel and click on the “Plumrocket”<\/strong> tab.<\/li>
    2. If there is a “GDPR”<\/strong> tab in the list, it means that the extension has been successfully installed.<\/li>
    3. Navigate to the “GDPR”<\/strong> -> select the “Configuration”<\/strong> option.<\/li>
    4. Your Serial Key<\/strong> field should be auto-filled with the green check mark displayed. This means that the Serial Key has been successfully activated, and the extension can be enabled. However, if the green check mark is not there – you will need to enter your product Serial Key manually. Please follow the License Installation for Magento 2 instructions<\/a> for more information.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Extension Installation via FTP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      Step 1. Download and unzip the extension files<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Step-by-step guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
      1. Log into your account at https:\/\/plumrocket.com<\/a>.<\/li>
      2. Select “My Account”<\/strong> in the menu . (To open this page you have to log in first)<\/li>
      3. Navigate to “My Downloads”<\/strong> in the menu.<\/li>
      4. Press on the “Download”<\/strong> link to download the latest version of your Plumrocket Magento 2 extension.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

        Step 2. Upload files to the server<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Step-by-step guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
        1. This is your client side. You will see the unpacked catalog containing the GDPR Extension.<\/li>
        2. This is your root directory on the server side. This is where the files should be uploaded.<\/li>
        3. All the files have to be uploaded to the server. Select the files and press right mouse button.<\/li>
        4. Select the “Upload” option for these files.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

          Step 3. SSH Installation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
          1. In terminal, switch to your Magento 2 root directory using command:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
