Similar to other Iframe issues, the iframe contents on Magento 2 AMP pages<\/a> are missing. Instead, the loader gets stuck spinning and never loads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Issue Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This issue happens when HTTPS protocol is not enabled for AMP Iframe.\u00a0According to the official AMP.DEV documentation<\/a>,\u00a0“An amp-iframe must only request resources via HTTPS”<\/em><\/span>, hence loading AMP Iframe source via HTTP protocol will result in an infinite loader to be displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another way to debug this issue is by\u00a0validating AMP<\/a>\u00a0versions of your product pages. Here is a validation error you may encounter when HTTPS protocol is not enabled:\u00a0“Invalid URL protocol ‘http:’ for attribute ‘src’ in tag ‘amp-iframe’.<\/em><\/span>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOLUTION<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Step 1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Contact your web hosting company and inquire about an SSL certificate for the main domain and \u201cwww\u201d subdomain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Set up your\u00a0Magento 2.x to work via HTTPS<\/a>, go to your\u00a0Magento admin panel > Stores > Configuration > Web<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Expand the Base URLs<\/strong> section and change the protocol in the Base URL<\/strong> field: From http:<\/strong>\/\/domain.com\/<\/span> > To https:<\/strong>\/\/domain.com\/<\/span><\/li>
  2. Expand the Base URLs (Secure)<\/strong> section and change the URL in the Secure Base URL<\/strong> field: From http:<\/strong>\/\/domain.com\/<\/span> > To https<\/strong>:\/\/domain.com\/<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
