How to Set Up Mail.ru API for Magento

In this article, you will learn how to find your Mail.ru API and integrate Mail.ru login into Magento Social Login Pro plugin. Please follow the step-by-step instructions below.

Step-by-Step action:

  1. Log into http://api.mail.ru/sites/
  2. Press “Connect Site” button to start creating your Mail.ru application.

Step-by-Step action:

  1. In order to proceed please accept Mail.ru API Terms of Use.
  2. Press “Proceed” button to continue.

Step-by-Step action:

  1. Indicate the title of your website.
  2. Insert the url of your homepage.
  3. Press “Proceed” button to continue.

  1. Press “Download” button to download “receiver.html” file.

At this point you will need to upload the “receiver.html” file to the root folder on your server. To upload files to the server, you may use any FTP-client (To show you how it works we used the FTP-client FileZilla.)

  1. This is your client side. You will see the unpacked catalog containing the Module.
  2. This is your root directory on server side. This is where the files should be uploaded.
  3. This file must be uploaded to the server. Select the file and press the right mouse button.
  4. Select the “Upload” option for this file.

In this step you must update your Magento Social Login Pro Extension configuration. In your magento admin panel, go to “System” -> “Configuration” -> “Plumrocket Inc” -> “Social Login Pro” -> “Mail.ru” Tab.

Step-by-Step action:

  1. Paste Application ID into the relevant field of the “Mail.ru” tab of your backend.
  2. Insert Secret Key into the relevant field of the “Mail.ru” tab of your backend.
  3. Press “Save Config” button.
