Magento Extensions Monthly Updates – April 2022
Hello everyone, it’s time for April’s monthly updates – a huge month for Magento store owners!
Adobe rolled out its major update for Magento 2 stores on April 12, 2022, providing better functionality, security, and performance.
For this reason, our team has been hard at work updating 13 Plumrocket extensions to add the support of the Magento 2.4.4 version. The list of plugins includes Magento 2 AMP extension, Magento 2 Advanced Reviews & Reminders, Magento 2 Cookie Consent, Magento 2 Social Login Pro, Magento 2 Order Status & Shipping Tracking, and others. We rest assured that the updated extensions are 100% compliant with the latest Magento requirements and won’t cause any compatibility issues during the upgrade process, saving you the cost and effort of updating the third-party code manually.
Additionally, the Magento 2 AMP plugin is now fully compatible with the Plumrocket Cookie Consent extension, which means your whole website, including AMP pages, can be compliant with data privacy laws. We have also added a handy admin feature that allows minifying CSS in developer mode to find out its size for production. Scroll down to discover more AMP extension updates.
The following helpful update concerns our recently redesigned Magento 2 Layered Navigation Extension. Without keeping you waiting, we immediately improved and redesigned the apply filter button to streamline bulk filtering for customers who want to search for products by multiple criteria at once. What’s more, filtering products by rating is even faster thanks to the added support for ElasticSearch.
And finally, important information all merchants should be aware of. We’re keeping up with the latest Magento requirements and have started using declarative schemes instead of install/upgrade scripts for most of our extensions, which means they no longer support the Magneto 2.2.x. Other plugins will also receive this update soon. So please consider moving your store to the Magento 2.4.x to get the latest features, as well as the security and performance improvements the platform offers (use our Magento Upgrade service if necessary).
